An Ocean Diamond is a sustainably sourced alluvial diamond. These diamonds started their journey to the sea billions of years ago, carried by the rivers and eventually settling in the seabeds off the coasts of Namibia and South Africa where they are artfully uncovered by responsible diamond divers.
The Wallace-Earle 9ct gold luxury mens bracelet is inspired by the powerful ocean of the Angola-Benguela front. Each lariat style bracelet is handmade by Alice using mouldable wax. The wax is rolled and trimmed into precise lengths. and the Ocean Diamond is gently hand-wedged in place. The surfaces are looped or flattened, and gently pushed by a palette knife to reflect an aerial view of waves flowing across the surface of the sea, a homage to the Benguela currents. Each piece is cast slowly and expertly with the diamond in place creating a natural setting as if the diamond were gently lodged in this form, to echo the way in which it is discovered by the divers on the ocean bed.
